Overview

Monte Rosa Therapeutics is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Compound Manager to consolidate and maintain a Compound management function in Boston, in close collaboration with our Basel Compound management team. The successful candidate will be accountable for storage, retrieval and distribution of Monte Rosa’s compound collection for biological profiling, both internally and externally across global sites. Working closely with Chemistry, Biology, Screening, Data Science, and Facilities groups, the candidate should exhibit excellent communication and collaborative skills for working on cross-functional teams, as well as demonstrate a high degree of independence and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the receipt, storage, inventory and distribution of compounds for biological assays
  • Perform hands-on lab work like solubilizations of solids, weighing, aliquoting and plate preparations to fulfil requests from scientists
  • Maintain Boston Library plates integrity
  • Run methods for Compounds QC on LCMS under supervision from Analytical chemists.
  • Operate and troubleshoot independently various automated instruments following Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform quality controls to preserve sample integrity
  • Ensure proper tracking of compounds distribution to maintain an up-to-date accurate inventory
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing compound shipments to/from CROs, partners and collaborators
  • Maintain safe workplaces, overall compound cleanness, and security standards

Qualifications

  • Three to five (3-5) years of applicable experience within the life sciences industry
  • BSc / MSc Degree or equivalent in a related scientific discipline, preferably in Chemistry
  • Hands-on experience in compound management and an excellent understanding of underlying processes
  • Experience operating, and troubleshooting various instrumentation including acoustic dispensers, liquid handlers, automated stores
  • Experience with LIMS systems
  • Experience in LCMS is a plus
  • Experience writing SOPs
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external personnel
  • Experience working across multiple teams and functionalities
  • Strong organization skills, ability to work independently, to prioritize and manage multiple projects
