Overview

Monte Rosa Therapeutics is seeking a passionate Scientist with the interest to plan, optimize, execute, and analyze high throughput cellular experiments. This position is a key role in the pivotal team responsible for Automation and Screening Technologies & hits-to-leads support for Monte Rosa’s diverse pipeline. The candidate should have experience in multiple molecular and cellular biology methods and in bioinformatics and data analysis. The ideal candidate will be able to help evolve Monte Rosa’s hit identification and hits-to-leads endeavors through embracing novel assay technologies, enhancing overall process and actively drive internal and external partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and analyze reproducible and impactful cellular assays in NanoBRET, NanoBiT, TR-FRET and other formats under ambitious timelines.
• Maintain thorough and timely electronic lab notebooks and other necessary records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry and Biophysics.
• Collaborate with Data Science on analysis workflows and dashboards.
• Create and write reports and SOPs to support development and regulatory filings.
• Establish, monitor and maintain a stable and productive environment through Quality Control, preventative maintenance and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• MS with 5+ years of biotech experience or PhD with postdoc preferred.
• Proficient in cell culture, with experience in setting up NanoBiT, NanoBRET, cellular HTRF assays preferred.
• Experience with Python, R, Bash/Unix, and informatics tools strongly preferred.
• Experience with fluorescent imaging assays/high content imaging is a plus.
• Highly self-motivated attitude with ability to own and drive projects with assay development and problem-solving skills.
• Scientific curiosity and strong desire to iteratively improve existing technologies and methods.
• Experience in lab management, enhancing operational efficiency, and project ownership.
• Passionate about advancing laboratory automation and high-throughput technologies.
